Wednesday Nights
I've always been a firm believer of the basic fundamentals and skills garnered from regular life drawing sessions.

A musician needs to practice regularly in order to keep up their 'chops', and the same principle applies to visual artists.

Working under time restraints, you need to figure things out quickly as you apply lines of pencil or paint on paper and try to capture the moment and pose.
It can lead at times to frustrated efforts, but can also be very rewarding.

There is also the simple pure pleasure of drawing, and nothing fascinates me more than the human form when it comes to drawing.

I have been attending life drawing sessions regularly for over six years.
In many ways its become my own form of yoga.
A way to relax yet still be challenged at the same time.

The result has been a small mountain of sketchbooks and loose pages filled with scribbles, frustrations, joy, and satisfaction.
Here are some samples from all of that.
